Abakkus Asset Manager’s fee income nearly doubles in two years to Rs 766 crore in FY26

New business data points to the fact that Abakkus Asset Manager’s fee and commission income jumped 83% in two years to Rs 765.9 crore in FY2026 from Rs 418.6 crore in FY2024, as the Sunil Singhania-backed asset manager expanded its portfolio management and alternative investment businesses, according to its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) filed with Sebi on September 22.
Fee income rose 12% in FY2026 from Rs 683.6 crore in FY2025, after surging 63% in FY2025 from Rs 418.6 crore in FY2024. Fee income is the money an asset manager earns for managing or advising on clients’ investments, typically through management and advisory fees charged on assets managed. AIF, UCITS and portfolio management fees remained the main source of income, rising to Rs 761.7 crore in FY2026 from Rs 671.5 crore in FY2025 and Rs 409.5 crore in FY2024. Mutual fund management fees contributed Rs 1.76 crore in FY2026, the first noted year for the business. AUM expands 52% in two years
Abakkus’ total quarterly average AUM rose 52% to Rs 41,409.1 crore in FY2026 from Rs 27,310.3 crore in FY2024. In FY2026, AUM grew 22% from Rs 33,994.7 crore in FY2025.
As a result, operating topline yield declined to 1.83% in FY2026 from 1.91% in FY2025, although it remained above 1.53% in FY2024.
PMS remained the largest business, with QAAUM rising to Rs 20,774.2 crore in FY2026 from Rs 14,086.7 crore in FY2024. AIF QAAUM increased to Rs 16,045.3 crore from Rs 12,457 crore over the same period.
The mutual fund business further noted Rs 3,129.5 crore to QAAUM in FY2026. Equity-oriented assets accounted for 95.55% of MF QAAUM. Abakkus received its mutual fund licence in 2025.
For the noted period, operating earnings before tax increased 75% to Rs 406.4 crore from Rs 232.8 crore, while the operating earnings margin stood at 53.05% in FY2026 against 55.61% in FY2024. PAT rose 59% to Rs 327.1 crore in FY2026 from Rs 205.4 crore in FY2024. Total income increased to Rs 796 crore from Rs 478.7 crore over the same period.
In its risks, Abakkus noted that a 10% slide in annual average AUM would have resulted in an estimated Rs 66 crore slide in management and advisory fee income in FY2026, assuming other factors remained unchanged.
