NPCI launches eNACHLite to enable in-app e-mandates; Viyona Fintech ready to onboard banks

The latest market report highlights that The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has rolled out eNACHLite, a new framework that allows customers to create, modify, pause or cancel electronic mandates without being redirected from an app to a web browser.
NPCI unveiled eNACHLite at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai on September 9. Hyderabad-based Viyona Fintech India, an NPCI-certified Technology Service Provider, stated it has completed the development and end-to-end testing of the system and is ready to onboard banks.
Under the new system, customers can set up auto-debit mandates for products such as loan EMIs, insurance premiums and investments within the app they are using. Authentication can be completed through a card or Aadhaar, followed by a one-time password.
Viyona stated the system is designed to provide clearer error messages and reduce mandate dip-offs and customer complaints.
“That jump out to a web page has been the single weakest link in Indian auto-debit for years,” stated Ravindranath Yarlagadda, chairman and CEO, Viyona Fintech India.
The firm stated banks and lenders will not need to build new applications, while existing eNACH mandates will stay unaffected.
Sensitive information such as card numbers and Aadhaar details will stay within NPCI’s secure software and will not be held by banks.
Viyona will provide the technical implementation, NPCI certification and operational backing for participating banks, NBFCs and lenders.
