HDFC Bank shares further noted 2% after RBI approved the appointment of Anup Bagchi as MD & CEO of the bank for a three-year term effective October 27. Bagchi is at present MD & CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

Shares of DLF shares advanced nearly 2% after the firm announced the complete sell-out of The Aureva, its luxury residential project in Gurugram, with sales of around Rs 1,985 crore.

Aurobindo Pharma shares touched 52-week high after the firm received final USFDA approval to manufacture and market Perampanel tablets in strengths ranging from 2 mg to 12 mg in the US. The product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug Fycompa and will be rolled out in Q3FY27.

Stock price of TCS shares further noted 2% after the firm announced an agreement with Best Buy to transition its Global Capability Center (GCC) in India to TCS, combining the GCC's retail and enterprise expertise with TCS' technology, engineering, AI and global delivery capabilities.

Shares of Avenue Supermarts shed more than 3 percent after Citi maintained 'sell' rating on the stock with a target Rs 3300.

Rail Vikas Nigam shares advanced more than 1% despite East Coast Railway cancelled an order for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an IP-based Video Surveillance System for rolling stock, without any financial repercussions and with mutual consent.

Punjab National Bank shares advanced 3% despite the firm's secretary received an administrative warning letter from SEBI's Investigations Department over insider trading regulation violations involving three designated persons and their immediate relatives. SEBI's letter is cautionary and does not impose any financial penalty on the bank.

Market participants are anticipated to stay focused on brokerage calls, block deals, order wins, regulatory developments and other firm-specific triggers that could drive stock-level volatility during the session.
