For trading apps, October 5 to October 31 will be a transition phase. Brokers may voluntarily display the investor awareness messages during this period. If a broker chooses to display the SEBI message on a particular day, displaying the existing risk disclosures will be optional for that day.

From November 1, stock brokers will have to mandatorily display the investor awareness messages and risk disclosures on the landing page of their trading apps on alternate days.

SEBI stated the investor awareness messages may be modified from time to time.

The regulator had earlier, through its May 19, 2023 circular, mandated stock brokers to display specified risk disclosures to all their clients.
