BSE shares fall 2.5% on profit booking after Nifty inclusion; Ujjivan SFB, Siemens India rise up to 2.5%…

Fresh updates from the financial markets indicate that BSE shares witnessed earnings booking on Nifty 50 inclusion as the semi-annual rejig of Nifty 50 constituents took effect and were trading 2.5% softer at Rs 3,120 apiece on September 30.
Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas on Tuesday divested a combined 68.33 lakh shares of BSE worth Rs 2,186.44 crore through bulk deals on the NSE, ahead of the stock exchange operator's inclusion in the benchmark Nifty 50 index.
According to the NSE bulk-deal data, Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius I Limited sold 23,81,571 BSE shares at Rs 3,200 apiece, while BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 44,51,693 shares at a weighted average price of Rs 3,199.54 per share. Together, the two entities sold 68,33,264 shares, equivalent to around 1.67% of BSE's equity, for a total value of approximately Rs 2,186.44 crore.
UTI Mutual Fund and Nippon India Mutual Fund together purchased a total of 52.43 lakh shares of BSE.
In the meantime, Wipro shares were trading 2.4% elevated after the IT stock exited the Nifty 50 benchmark index.
Among other stocks, Hitachi Energy India, Polycab India, Vedanta Aluminium Metal, and Vodafone Idea entered the Nifty 100 index. At 1:30 pm, these stocks were trading -0.41%, 0.1%, -5.3% and -2.8%, respectively.
Additionally, shares of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and Siemens Energy India rose 2.5% and 1.5%, respectively after they were introduced into the futures & options (F&O) space by NSE.
Siemens Energy India F&O contract will have lot size of 175 while the F&O contract of Ujjivan SFB will have lot size of 8,000.
Anand Rathi Wealth has additionally been included in F&O space with lot size of 250.
