Pioneer Fil-Med receives SEBI approval for raising funds via IPO

New business data points to the fact that New Delhi-based Pioneer Fil-Med, a manufacturer of railway and metro equipment and wind turbines, has received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to proceed with its proposed initial public offering (IPO).

The firm had approached the capital markets in March 2026 by filing a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI for its IPO.

SEBI issued its observations on Pioneer Fil-Med’s draft offer document on September 22. The issuance of observations allows the firm to launch its IPO within the next one year, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.

Pioneer Fil-Med has proposed to mobilize Rs 500 crore through the IPO, comprising a fresh offering of Rs 250 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of shares worth Rs 250 crore.

Promoter entities Pioneer Facor IT Infradevelopers and Aztech India will be the selling shareholders in the OFS.

The firm may additionally consider a pre-IPO placement of up to Rs 50 crore. If undertaken, the size of the fresh offering will be reduced to the extent of the amount boosted through the pre-IPO placement.

With three manufacturing facilities in Haryana, Pioneer Fil-Med manufactures railway and metro equipment and allied components for locomotive and coach applications. The firm has a firm presence across both diesel-electric and electric platforms and has additionally diversified into wind turbine manufacturing.

It is an approved supplier of advanced traction products to Indian Railways.

The firm proposes to utilise Rs 102.2 crore from the net proceeds of the fresh offering to establish a gearbox manufacturing facility and Rs 79.5 crore to establish a wind generator components manufacturing facility at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Nuvama Wealth Management and Equirus Capital have been appointed as the merchant bankers to manage the Pioneer Fil-Med IPO.
