Orient Cables fixes price band at Rs 258-272, Rs 552-crore IPO to open on September 25

The latest market report highlights that Orient Cables, a Gurugram-based networking cables and passive networking equipment manufacturer, has set the price range at Rs 258–272 per share for its Rs 552-crore initial public offering (IPO).

The firm is seeking a valuation of Rs 3,095.3 crore at the upper end of the price range.

The maiden public offering comprises a fresh offering of shares worth Rs 320 crore, while the Nagpal family will sell shares worth Rs 232 crore through an offer-for-sale (OFS).

The IPO will open for public subscription on September 25 and close on September 29, while the anchor book will open for a day on September 24.

IPO share allotment is anticipated to be finalised by September 30, while trading in Orient Cables shares is anticipated to commence on the bourses on October 5.

Market participants can bid for a minimum of 55 equity shares, with subsequent bids to be made in multiples of 55 shares. Accordingly, the minimum and maximum investment for retail market participants in the IPO would be Rs 14,960 and Rs 1,94,480, respectively.

Orient Cables will utilise Rs 91.5 crore of the net fresh offering proceeds for the purchase of machinery and equipment and civil works at its manufacturing facilities, while Rs 155.5 crore will be utilised for debt reduction against total outstanding borrowings of Rs 258.4 crore as of June 2026. The remaining proceeds will be set aside for general corporate purposes.

The firm is engaged in the manufacturing of networking, specialty power and optical fibre cables, with a capacity of 8.95 lakh km, as well as wire and cable harness assemblies and allied products such as keystone jacks, power strips and power cords, through two plants in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

Orient Cables noted a 0.5 percent year-on-year expansion in earnings to Rs 53.6 crore for the year ended March 2026, from Rs 53.3 crore in the previous year, partly impacted by subdued operating margins. Topline during the same period surged 42 percent to Rs 1,171.6 crore from Rs 825 crore.

The firm recorded a earnings of Rs 32.7 crore and topline of Rs 489.1 crore in the latest quarter ended June 2026.

Merchant bankers IIFL Capital Services and JM Financial are managing the Orient Cables IPO.
