Pace Digitek shares jump up to 13% on winning Rs 488 crore order

Reports coming in for today mention that Pace Digitek shares jumped nearly 13 percent in morning trade on Tuesday after the firm announced that its material subsidiary had secured an order worth Rs 488.46 crore from an NTPC unit.
The stock advanced 13.11 percent to Rs 175.37 per share on the NSE. It later pared some upside and was trading 9.98 percent elevated at Rs 170.31 at around 11:50 am.
The sharp uptick came after the firm stated in an exchange filing that its material subsidiary, Lineage Power Pvt Ltd (LPPL), had secured an order valued at Rs 4,884.6 million, including GST, from NTPC GE Power Services Pvt Ltd (NGSL) for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Barh STPP (NTPC Stages I & II).
The order covers the supply, testing, supervision of erection and commissioning of BESS containers, along with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
It additionally includes five years of annual maintenance services and a further seven-year extended warranty for the battery containers.
The order is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2026.
As stated by the firm, LPPL is being developed as a product-led BESS business covering manufacturing, product supply, system integration and lifecycle backing.
Pace Digitek stated it operationalised 2.5 GWh of BESS manufacturing capacity in 2025, expanded it to 5 GWh and plans to scale the capacity to 10 GWh by the third quarter of FY2027.
The firm has delivered BESS containers representing more than 1.5 GWh of capacity so far.
The firm stated it additionally sees commercial and industrial applications as an emerging opportunity alongside its utility-scale BESS business.
Pace Digitek Chairman and Managing Director Venugopalrao Maddisetty stated the order was an important step in strengthening LPPL as a product-led BESS business.
"It brings together product supply, commissioning and long-term lifecycle backing, enabling us to deepen our participation across the BESS value chain and strengthen our engagement with customers beyond manufacturing," he stated.
The firm stated it would keep invest in capabilities to backing customers across the lifecycle of energy-storage systems.
