The latest market report highlights that The allotment of shares for the Rs 22,569-crore National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) IPO is anticipated to be finalised today, September 22, after the country's largest stock exchange attracted firm demand during its three-day bidding period.
The IPO was subscribed 5.71 times by the close of bidding on September 21, according to the final data noted by NSE. The offering received bids for around 50.65 crore shares against 8.86 crore shares on offer. The qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) category was subscribed 12.68 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) portion received 6.54 times subscription. The retail portion was subscribed 1.33 times.
Market participants who applied for the NSE IPO can check their allotment status through MUFG Intime India, the registrar to the offering, as well as the BSE and NSE websites. The shares are scheduled to list on the BSE on September 24, while refunds and credit of shares are anticipated on September 23.

The grey market premium for the NSE IPO has fallen sharply from its marks noted before the offering opened. According to InvestorGain, the latest recorded GMP was Rs 65, implying a premium of 3.64 percent over the upper end of the IPO price range of Rs 1,785. At this GMP, the indicative price works out to around Rs 1,850.

The NSE IPO had a price range of Rs 1,700-1,785 per share, with a lot size of eight shares. The minimum application amount for a retail investor at the upper end of the price range was Rs 14,280.
The entire offering comprised an offer for sale (OFS) of 12.64 crore equity shares by existing shareholders. Since there is no fresh offering, NSE will not receive any proceeds from the IPO. The money boosted, excluding offering-related expenses, will go to the selling shareholders.
The firm had boosted around Rs 6,746 crore from anchor market participants on September 16 through the allotment of 3.78 crore shares at Rs 1,785 apiece. LIC was among the prominent market participants in the anchor book.
NSE has additionally reserved shares worth Rs 70 crore for its employees. Eligible employees will receive a discount of Rs 170 per share to the final offering price.
The basis of allotment is scheduled for September 22, followed by refunds and credit of allotted shares to demat accounts on September 23. The NSE shares are scheduled to begin trading on the BSE on September 24.
