Welspun Corp shares gain up to 5% as its unit wins Saudi Aramco order worth Rs 2,000 crore; stock up 240%...

New business data points to the fact that Welspun Corp shares advanced up to 5 percent in Monday's market session after its associate firm East Pipes Integrated Firm for Industry (EPIC) won a contract from Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Aramco) for manufacturing and supply of steel pipes worth over Rs 2,000 crore.

Shares of Welspun Corp hit an intraday high of Rs 2,797.60 per share on the NSE, rising more than 5 percent. That stated, earnings booking at elevated marks pulled the stock down, and it was quoting at Rs 2,721.40, up 2.3 percent, around 11:50 a.m.

In an exchange filing, Welspun Corp stated EPIC, a listed entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced on the Saudi Stock Exchange the signing of a contract with Aramco for manufacturing and supply of steel pipes for a total value exceeding 771 million Saudi riyals (approximately Rs 2,000 crore), including value-further noted tax.

The duration of the contract is six months, and its financial impact will be reflected from the fourth quarter of FY2026-27 through the first quarter of FY2027-28, the firm stated.

EPIC is Saudi Arabia's leading manufacturer of Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes, according to the filing.

The firm has fully integrated manufacturing facilities and a track record of executing large orders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it stated.

Shares of the firm are up 240.58 percent in 2026 so far, according to the data available on BSE Analytics.
