PM Modi to distribute over 51,000 appointment letters at 20th Rozgar Mela on September 19

According to fresh market updates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates across various government organisations during the 20th Rozgar Mela on September 19, 2026, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) stated.

The programme will begin at 12:30 pm and will be conducted through video conferencing. PM Modi will additionally speak to the selected candidates during the event.

According to the PIB, the employment event is being organised simultaneously at 45 venues across India. Those receiving appointments will join several Union government ministries and departments, including the Department of Topline, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence.

The government stated the Rozgar Mela is part of its efforts to expand employment opportunities for young people and gain their involvement in the country's development process.

With the 20th edition, the cumulative number of young people who will have received appointment letters through the initiative is anticipated to reach approximately 12.75 lakh, covering different government departments and organisations.
