At 4 pm IST, Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.65 per cent, while S&P 500 futures advanced 0.57 per cent. Dow futures were up 0.56 per cent.

The climb in futures came after Brent crude touched a four-month high of USD 109.97 a barrel on Friday following a 6 per cent jump a day earlier. That stated, it soon came under selling pressure and was last down nearly 2 per cent at USD 105.90 a barrel. It was still set for a weekly gain of around 10 per cent.

Brent crude futures eased more than 3 per cent but remained above USD 104 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude futures declined 2.6 per cent but stayed close to the USD 100-a-barrel mark.

In the meantime, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury note dipped 0.16 basis points but remained at 4.9424 per cent, its highest level since 2023. High Treasury yields reduce the appeal of stocks.
