NSE IPO GMP declines marginally as subscription begins next week - Check key details

The latest market report highlights that The grey market premium (GMP) for the National Stock Exchange (NSE) IPO declined marginally on Friday, with the public offering set to open for subscription the week ahead.

According to platforms tracking grey market activity, NSE shares are commanding a GMP of 10-11 percent.

Investorgain quoted a GMP of Rs 180, indicating a stock-exchange debut gain of 10.08 percent. IPO Watch, in the meantime, quoted a GMP of 10.53 percent.

Earlier the current week, the GMP was Rs 285 until Monday, ahead of the announcement of the price range, indicating a stock-exchange debut gain of 15.97 percent, according to IPO Watch.

The NSE IPO will open for subscription on September 17.

The three-day offering will close on September 21, while bidding for anchor market participants will take place on September 16.

The price range has been set at Rs 1,700-1,785 per share.

NSE aims to mobilize Rs 22,561.5 crore through the IPO and is seeking a valuation of Rs 4.42 lakh crore at the upper end of the price range.

According to the World Federation of Exchanges, NSE was the world's largest multi-asset-class exchange among leading listed stock exchange groups globally in fiscal 2026, with a global market share of 11.38 per cent in terms of the number of trades in cash equities and 51.18 per cent in contracts traded in equity derivatives.

Professionally managed, NSE is India’s largest stock exchange in terms of total turnover across key asset classes. According to the Redseer Report, it had a 93.05 per cent market share in the cash market, 99.72 per cent in equity futures, 68.48 per cent in equity options, 100 per cent in exchange-traded currency futures and 100 per cent in exchange-traded currency options, based on total premium turnover, as of three months period ended June 2026.
