Veegaland Developers IPO subscribed 33% so far on Day 1; retail portion leads demand

The latest market report highlights that The initial public offering (IPO) of Kerala-based real estate developer Veegaland Developers was subscribed 33 percent on the opening day, with market participants bidding for 36.98 lakh shares against 1.13 crore shares on offer as of 1:40 pm on September 10, according to NSE data.
Retail market participants led the demand, with their reserved portion subscribed 55 percent. The non-institutional investor (NII) category was subscribed 24 percent during the period.
The Rs 210-crore IPO, which comprises entirely a fresh offering, is open for subscription from September 10 to September 15. The firm has set the price range at Rs 130-140 per share.

The IPO had received a lift ahead of its public launch after Veegaland Developers boosted Rs 63 crore from anchor market participants. Nine institutional market participants participated in the anchor book, with EQ India Fund emerging as the largest participant after purchasing 10.71 lakh shares for Rs 15 crore at the upper end of the price range.
Swyom India Alpha Fund and Tiger Strategies Fund acquired 7.14 lakh shares and 5.71 lakh shares for Rs 10 crore and Rs 8 crore, respectively. Taurus Mutual Fund, Innovative Value Fund, Visionary Value Fund, VBCUBE Ventures Trust and CP Capital each picked up 3.57 lakh shares for Rs 5 crore.
In the grey market, Veegaland Developers shares were commanding a premium ahead of the offering. InvestorGain revealed a grey market premium (GMP) of Rs 25 per share, implying an indicative stock-exchange debut price of Rs 165 against the IPO's upper price range of Rs 140. This translates into a potential premium of around 18 percent over the offering price.
GMP is an unofficial market indicator and can change before stock-exchange debut. It should not be treated as a guarantee of the eventual stock-exchange debut price.
Veegaland Developers plans to deploy Rs 119.82 crore from the net IPO proceeds towards expenses related to the development of its ongoing projects.
The remaining funds will be utilised for unidentified land acquisitions and general corporate purposes.
The IPO is being managed by Cumulative Capital as the merchant banker. The shares are scheduled to be listed on the NSE and BSE on September 18, subject to the offering timetable.
The firm operates under the Veegaland Homes brand in Kerala and is part of the V-Guard Group. Its portfolio comprises 12 ongoing projects and three upcoming projects, spanning residential and other real estate developments. As of June 2026, Veegaland Developers had completed 10 projects with a total saleable area of 11.05 lakh square feet.
