Zerodha down? Company says 'issue with order placement across brokers for some F&O contracts on BSE'

As per the latest business developments, Low-cost brokerage Zerodha on September 10 stated there is an offering with price updates and order placement across brokers for some futures & options (F&O) contracts on BSE, raising concerns of trading disruptions for market participants.

"There is an offering with price updates and order placement across brokers for some F&O contracts on BSE. We’re in touch with the exchange to resolve this at the earliest," the brokerage stated.

"Due to technical issues at the exchange, trading in this instrument is temporarily unavailable," stated a notification on Zerodha's Kite app.

In the meantime, on X platform, traders stated Sensex 75,000 CE contract froze since 15-20 minutes.

September 10 happens to be weekly F&O expiry of Sensex and wild swings could be anticipated during Closing Auction Session if the past few expiry days are any indication.

While Zerodha stated the offering has been resolved, some users stated the technical glitches are persisting.

At 12:56 pm on September 10, the Sensex was up 57.54 points or 0.08% at 74,821.77, and the Nifty was up 11.75 points or 0.05% at 23,443.25. Around 1,867 shares advanced, 1,937 shares declined, and 173 shares were unchanged.
