As per the latest business developments, Commodity markets traded mixed on September 10, with crude prices holding firm after Brent crude breached the $100-a-barrel mark, while gold prices steadied as market participants awaited US inflation data due later the current week.

Crude prices held firm on Thursday after Brent crude breached $100 a barrel, with traders bracing for deeper supply disruption as Iran and the United States rolled out their largest attacks on shipping since their six-month-old conflict began.

Brent crude futures rose 0.1% to $101.34 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $96.55 a barrel, up 0.5%.

Gold steadied, as traders awaited US inflation data due later the current week for clues to whether the The US central bank will hike interest rates.

Bullion was near $4,400 an ounce, after adding 1% in the previous session to snap a three-day losing streak.

Among other precious metals, silver was little changed at $67.29 an ounce, after adding 2.4% in the previous session. Platinum and palladium edged elevated.

The dollar index was little changed against the other major currencies in the early Thursday trade.
