Rentomojo IPO: Anchor investors pump in Rs 376 crore ahead of Rs 1,256-crore issue opening

Fresh updates from the financial markets indicate that Rentomojo, which claims to be India's largest online rental and subscription platform for home furniture and appliances, has mobilised Rs 376.07 crore through the anchor book on September 8, a day ahead of the IPO opening.
The firm, backed by Accel India and ValueQuest, will open its Rs 1,256-crore initial public offering (IPO) for subscription on September 9 and close the offering on September 11. The price range has been set at Rs 384-404 per share.
The IPO comprises a fresh offering of shares worth Rs 150 crore, while promoters and market participants are offering up to 2.73 crore equity shares worth Rs 1,105.56 crore through an offer-for-sale (OFS).
Marquee global market participants including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and Theleme Partners participated in the firm's anchor book on Tuesday.
The firm has allocated 93.08 lakh equity shares to anchor market participants at the upper end of the price range. Of these, 60.41 lakh shares were subscribed by 30 schemes of 16 domestic mutual fund houses, including Kotak Mahindra AMC, ICICI Prudential AMC, HDFC AMC, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, Mirae Asset, Edelweiss, HSBC Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal AMC and Invesco.
Insurance firms including HDFC Standard Life, ICICI Prudential Life, Aditya Birla Sun Life, Edelweiss Life and Bajaj Life picked up 12.62 lakh shares worth Rs 51 crore.
Rentomojo offers furniture and appliances through a subscription model via an omnichannel platform that combines online ordering with experience stores across India. The firm at present has 82 experience stores. It maintained an occupancy rate of 83.34 percent in FY26, compared with 82.82 percent in the previous year.

Of the net fresh offering proceeds, Rs 70 crore will be utilised to repay debt, against total outstanding borrowings of Rs 258.3 crore on a consolidated basis. A further Rs 42.5 crore will be used to pay lease rentals or licence fees for warehouses and experience stores, while the remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
Rentomojo noted a earnings of Rs 104.2 crore in the fiscal year ended March 2026, up 142 percent from Rs 43.1 crore in the previous year. Topline during the same period grew 45.5 percent to Rs 387 crore from Rs 266 crore.
The merchant bankers managing the Rentomojo IPO are Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, Axis Capital and IIFL Capital Services.
