The platform is designed to align farmer economic expansion directly with nutrition and public health outcomes across the country.

Attending the launch as Chief Guest, Shri Rajit Punhani, Chief Executive Officer of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), highlighted the strategic necessity of uniting regulatory and agricultural frameworks. Punhani stated that bringing food safety, agriculture, and nutrition onto one platform is the exact need of the hour, commending the chamber for establishing the collaborative initiative.

The platform operates on the principle that rural economic prosperity and citizen health represent an interconnected system connected by food systems and nutrition. Dr. Ashok Dalwai, Chairman of DeFacto India, emphasized this alignment during the event, stating that the prosperity of the farmer and the health of the citizen have always been a single objective wearing two names, and that AgHeal provides the venue where that objective is pursued as one.

Rather than functioning as a standard summit, the platform convened a broad network of stakeholders, including farmer producer organizations, food processing executives, venture capital market participants, academic researchers, and governmental representatives.

Discussions were organized across three primary tracks: the Farmer Economy, the Consumer Economy, and the Productivity Economy, complemented by a series of fireside conversations throughout the evening.

Shreyasi Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of DeFacto India, who conceptualized and led the initiative, addressed the assembly regarding the scope of the project. Agarwal noted that every stakeholder present represents 1.4 billion people, adding that the platform is being built both for the domestic population and as a model for the world.

The event drew participation from notable figures across media, food technology, and healthcare, including YourStory Founder and CEO Shraddha Sharma, FoodPharmer founder Revant Himatsingka, and Nutrition Society of India President Dr. Sarath Gopalan, alongside Special Guest Lt Gen Ajai Kumar Singh (Retd.).

DeFacto India functions as a Section 8 non-earnings chamber chaired by Dr. Dalwai and managed by CEO Shreyasi Agarwal, focusing on building institutional platforms that link agricultural output to national health goals.
